IODP

The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) is supported by 24 countries to obtain scientific information by monitoring, drilling, sampling, and analyzing the ocean floor.

The German section of the IODP is located at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). There, the German involvement is coordinated and participation in drilling cruises is organized.
